How to Add a Device to Microsoft Office Account

Rohn007

Exactly which Office license do you have?  Which Office 365?

There is something strange in your description. There is no way I know of that a Office 365 subscription will allow you to install on 10 devices at the same time. Other than a mistake at MS.  My favourite similar mistake was a user account that said the person had "Used 8 of 5 activations" in a license type that only allowed 2 ...

Do you have any other copies/versions of Office installed on that Win8 desktop?

In theory all you have to do is on that other computer, Win 8 Desktop, log in to your myaccount page and click on the install button?  Are you doing something different?

Install MS 365 / Office 2016 / 2013 / 2010

To install your 365 on another device just sign in to your Microsoft account, Installs page on the computer you want to install on, and choose Install Office.

This page provides a list of the other email accounts you have shared a 365 Home subscription with. It also lists the computers you have Office 365 installed on and activated. You can "remove" a computer here to free up an activation count to allow you to install and activate on another new computer.

Thank you for replying.  I think I asked my question incorrectly.  FWIW, I have Office 365 Home and it works well on both of my computers.

The Problem I'm having is probably not related to Office 365 after.

My problem is that I bought a product from the Microsoft Store on my laptop.  I downloaded it there just fine.  If I log into my Microsoft account on my desktop, go to the Microsoft store to buy the same product, it says "you own this game".   There is a button that says "Install on my devices".  I click that button and the only available device is my laptop.

How can I add my desktop to the list of devices on my Microsoft account so that I can download the game there?

Sorry, I don't know.  Take a closer look at the license terms for the game. Does it allow you to install on more than one computer?

.

This isn't really an Office question, but I don't see an appropriate category.  Maybe Windows.

.

Actually, since you have figured out you are asking something different, you should probably post a new question with a more appropriate subject.
